At long last! Continuing. Notes and photos to follow///My fourth attempt for this bird, I hate to think of the hours I have into it. After half an hour this morning I thought I was going to strike out again, but it suddenly turned up. Very distant at first but unmistakable in its profile. I grabbed the camera and took a few shots just to secure the record, and then noticed a flurry of activity in the periphery and turned to see a BAEA flying through the scene. I thought it might spell the end of my encounter of the target, but as it happened, it brought the WEGR in closer. It was diving frequently and I had to act quickly to get shots of it, and my attempts at digiscoping were futile. So some photos gotten albeit in poor light. County bird. My personal third record for WEGR in Maine.
