Was just about to leave around 12:30 pm, when I saw this bird come flying up from the bay and land across channel in front of the marina. There was also a bunch of loons flying up from the bay at the same time. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many loons in the air at the same time. I soon realized what had spooked all of them, a massive ship motoring up from the bay. Fortunately, I was able to get photos before the boat passed where this bird had been. The bill is thinner than a Razorbill’s (but of course, thicker than a COMU bill).
