Détails de l'observation
Continuing bird (one of several?). Dark, rather smudgy partial hood, extending from the auriculars up to the mid-hindcrown or so. The forehead was whitish. Bird remained somewhat distant during our brief viewing, but eye arcs were nonetheless visible. We also noted the darker gray of the wings compared to the Bonaparte's Gulls this bird was loosely associating with, as well as an overall "chunkier" appearance both on the ground and in flight. Compared to a Laughing Gull, in addition to the prominent eye arcs, the bill was much slimmer and the bird smaller and more graceful in flight. Postage stamp photos attached.
