Détails de l'observation
see photos. The overall look of this bird was really pale, with almost no brown or rufous tones in the upperwing coverts. The dark primary coverts suggest a 1st winter bird, which makes it seem even more anomalously pale for that plumage. It is very reminiscent of a McKay’s Bunting to me, but perhaps too far on the dark side. Four secondaries have tiny black subterminal streaks. Is the bird pale enough to suggest a hybrid rather than a pure Snow Bunting?
