Détails de l'observation
WOW! One of the coolest bird experiences of my life. At 5:45 or so, it rained for less than a minute. During the light rain, I was at the northwest edge of the lake scanning for birds. Out of nowhere, a juvenile Least Bittern flew directly towards me, perched 10 feet in front of me, totally out in the open, for 10-15 **MINUTES** and preened and posed on a snag and didn't care about me at all despite the fact I was moving my camera and binos around and trying my best to keep my cool. I have never seen a Least Bittern out in the open like that. Eventually, the bird crept down the snag and carried on its day, as did I.
