Détails de l'observation
Continuing along the Bear Cut Trail. After searching the area for about an hour (both the shady Bear Cut Trail and the sandy path to the east), the bird spontaneously starting calling loudly and we got some brief visuals of it foraging fairly high up in the canopy. This was right next to the #2 and #3 posts. It should be noted that the sandy path had a #2 post as well but our sighting was the #2 post in the forest (access this trail behind the nature center building and walk north on it). A very pale-bellied Myiarchus lacking bright rufous tones on tail, with a bushy crest and a long and slender bill. The calls (some of which I recorded) were a slightly upslurred, loud “sweet”.
