NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 1. Bulk reel: 12a) Natural "display song" from a bird in flight. During the song the bird "butterly flutters" its wings. Although I saw it reasonably well, I could not identify with certainty. Quality: 2. Level: +5. Std. Brown tape.b) After playback the bird came down to tree and sang while perched there. However, it remained almost totally hidden and I could not entice into a good view, either to identify or to collect.*By comparison with Cut 2, where the bird was collected and identified beyond question, there seems to be little doubt that this recording is of this kite. 17 Nov 1974. PAS. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display.
