** Rare** Target species for county. Decided to make a run on Willie D'Anna alert from earlier at Wilson short pier. With a swing and a miss there and all intentions of finding BLKI headed here. Much to my amazement and glee I found myself in immediate and close views of both species just mere yards out on eastern rock jetty. Immature LAGU stood out right away, smaller than associating RBGU and darker gray mantled. Smudgy hooded and longer, slightly thicker black bill and legs. The amazing thing about this trip was Willie's uncanny almost premonitial idea that I might find both species here after originally being at Wilson short pier. The man knows alot about birds, especially a thing or two about gulls. Thanks Willie. County Bird. Photos TBA.
