Détails de l'observation
Changed from Snow Goose to Snow/Ross’s Goose, since the bird is too far away to ID for certain. Previous details below. Very rare and unexpected at this season. Possibly the bird seen by Michael Rogers back in October, although this would be a very long time for the bird to stay at this pond. Viewed from EEC observation deck. Bird was extremely distant, and appeared to be sitting down at first. It later started swimming for a bit, before finally moving to one of the islands to rest, where it stayed until we left. White goose with dark pink legs/bill and black wingtips. Too small for Mute Swan. Ross's Goose unlikely due to generally being rarer than SNGO in the county. Bird was about the same size as a Canada Goose, although a bit smaller. Approximate coordinates: 37.441933,-121.965592
