Détails de l'observation
This bird immediately struck me as unusual compared to any other bird I had seen on Alphonse. It was slender with longer black legs. Very different from the waxbills or house sparrows, so I took a closer look and was able to get a couple of photos. The body shape reminded me of a flycatcher. I noticed a subtle white eyestripe and black beak. The color was rather drab. Comparing the photos to other photos of the Wheatear and learning about it's migration to Africa, I am convinced that this is the Northern Wheatear.
