Détails de l'observation
two glaucous gulls were observed at Yellow Bay on Flathead Lake. this was thought to be a first record of glaucous gull in Montana west of the Continental Divide. One gull was collected and eventually deposited in the vertebrate museum at University of Montana. Although we were encouraged to submit a manuscript for the record, that only occurred several years later. That manuscript was rejected as some other investigator had already confirmed the report. If we could find the published report, we would reference it here. See images of the brief manuscript we prepared below. today (6MAR2017) we found a reference to this bird at American Birds 1974 (June) (3):666 confirming first state record specimen and early sight record < https://sora.unm.edu/node/112459 >.
