First observation at 0951. 1 counted on property. One individual glided in from the north and landed briefly near the crest of the hill north of reach 3! This bird later continued to the west, where we saw it cooperatively hunting a jackrabbit (unsuccessfully) with a second GOEA on the grassy flanks of the Scratchgravels. I presume this may have been the resident pair that birders have noted nesting in the Scratchgravels in the past. We saw third GOEA approaching from the Scratchgravels very high overhead, gliding south - evidently an active migrant. Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 1 on property. 1 beyond property. 3 flyover(s).
