Détails de l'observation
Along trail where it crosses between the two ponds. First heard it calling from edge of west pond, and eventually saw it moving through low brush. Called Patty and Linnaea over, and we watched the bird for a full 3-4 minutes as it stayed amazingly in the open (for a Swamp Sparrow), calling persistently. It then flew across the trail to the south edge of the east pond and went silent and was not seen again. The bird's Black-Phoebe-like call notes can be heard in the videos. Patty remarked that this was the best she's ever seen a Swamp Sparrow, and I honestly cannot remember a time, at least in the West, that I've watched one for this long and this well either.
