Double-whoosh at 3.5 secs was the startled TUVU veering rapidly to the side after spotting me. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Only included this to remind me of my closest ever encounter with a flying TUVU.
Détails de l'observation
A few TUVU's have been feeding on a nearby road-kill for the past few days. While I was recording the MAWA, obscured by speckled alders, the vulture, while flying very low, saw me at the last second and veered sharply off to the side creating a double whoosh sound which I recorded. Not much of a recording but it's not that easy getting TUVU recordings. Maybe when they regurgitate food for their young, but that's dangerous and I'd have to get paid for that.....
