Détails de l'observation
At the top of the outcrop viewing to the south was a Townsend's Solitaire perched on top of a dead cedar about 35-40 feet away from me. The grayish bird, with white-eye rings, white wing bars, and longer darker tail was easy to see with 8 x 42 Vortex field glasses. It flew about 20 feet and landed on the top of another dead tree but I did not see it fly. The bird was a little bigger than an eastern bluebird. I had my Merlin sound id on but the bird did not call. I tried taking photos with my phone but had a hard time focusing. When I reached the zone of cedars I saw berries on the ground.
