Commentaires
Mallards feeling very threatened by the eagle
Détails de l'observation
Both eagles made multiple very low passes over the southeast side of the lake, repeatedly trying to snatch geese and ducks from the water. One went right into the water to attempt to grapple with a Cackling Goose (the goose escaped, barely, after being forced underwater by the eagle). The attacks continued for about 90 seconds, but neither bird appeared to catch anything. Both birds then perched in a large tree at the east side of the lake and watched the waterfowl. They were still there 45 minutes later, making occasional passes over the lake.
