Détails de l'observation
**Rare - 1st-county record that I am aware of. Relisting after multiple opinions agreed with the ID of NECO on "Advanced Bird ID" Facebook page. FOSRC form will be submitted. Slender built comororant compared to nearby DCCO, with a smaller head, thinner neck. Long tail, with tail extension beyond wings roughly equal to neck and head length in front of wings - compare to DCCO. Southbound group of four cormorants, with one appearing smaller and more slender. I picked up on this at a distance rather quickly. Birds were backlit on an already dreary, overcast day, so photos are abysmal. Aside from previously mentioned size difference, the small head and slighter bill with differing neck structure are distinct from nearby DCCO. The tail appears slightly longer than nearby DCCO, with the tail and neck appearing roughly the same length - compare to DCCO, where the neck is longer than tail extension. Neck flexation in flight is slightly tilted upward, where DCCO tends to be more horizontal.
