*Rare and late; first seen roosting near the diked pond closest to Oak St. and thought (hoped) to be a dowitcher. Quickly noted the unbarred flanks, slim shape, smaller size. Untucked the bill and saw medium length bill, slightly drooped. Juv molting into non-breeding. Later was able to approach very closely when it fed with yellowlegs. Incredibly tame.
