Détails de l'observation
Shocking, especially the number. Dan and Nick reported one first and I minutes later saw (likely a second) bird before I met them. While we were watching the south lake, Garrett came over and told us there were at least four gull billed terns on the other side, to our great surprise. As we watched the north lake over the next 45 minutes, more and more materialized, with the max count at once being five. Chunky very white terns with only a sliver of black on the primaries and some dark around the eye. All black bill thicker and shorter and tail shorter than Forsters tern. On adult still molting off black cap. Photos, including some with multiple birds
