Détails de l'observation
I noticed an enourmous looking bird that was headed in my direction but didn't look quite right for a pelican because its wings were peaked at the wrist joint. When it banked it became clear that it was a Frigatebird: very large bird with long tapered wings. Long forked tail. Head and breast were white, which makes it an immature I believe. It glided in from Goleta beach, hit a thermal in the viscinity of Henley Gate, spiraled to higher altitude, then dissapeared above a cloud layer over Goleta Bay.
