Détails de l'observation
All in a relatively loose flock heading west. Did not see one bird heading east at any point in time and they were feeding while traveling so got to watch them for a good amount of time. In fairly close to shore, square tails, lots of white in the rump, pattering while feeding and quick snappy wing beats. Looking at the observation map there were a decent amount of observations around the mouth of the bay leading up to this date. Strong winds 65+ km on windy app for 24 hours leading up to when I observed them. The shore line was full of sediment about 50 m out from the waters edge, indicating the water was well mixed up offering plenty of food they were after. Terrible photos although showing wing shape, white rumps and relative size to the estimated 3’ buoy.
