Détails de l'observation
Last seen on March 8th, but still at south end. Sporting a rich chestnut cap at this point in time. Bright rufous-colored wings and tail stand out on grayish body and unmarked chest, Slight buffy flanks. Gray face with wide gray supercilium, dark blackish postocular stripe. Bill two-toned, upper mandible dark and lower mandible yellowish. Slight median stripe on chestnut cap. Loosely hanging with a Lincoln's Sparrow at previously reported location near fenceline of water treatment plant. Slightly larger than the LISP and smaller than a SOSP. Had all 3 Melospiza sp. together at one point. Birdseed is the ticket to seeing this sparrow in the open, so I suggest bringing a bit and scattering it around the pepper tree/bush near the wtp stairs. Photos.
