Détails de l'observation
Photo attached. Large brown owl in tree just off the walking path in RSD Park directly across from RSD church. Huge yellow eyes and the “horns” clearly visible. A gentleman noticed I was looking at the peregrines at the church and showed me where the owl was. He told me it was getting mobbed by crows earlier, and even took some dives from one of the peregrines. The crows were gone by the time I got there. Easily visible from the path. Saw it with two others and the three of us agreed to not put it on eBird or Twitter for at least one week - we didn’t want the crowds to mob it. Saw it multiple times throughout the day, including in a tree completely outside of the park over a sidewalk on Riverside Drive.
