Détails de l'observation
**Oak Top rarity; seen well flying north in tight group with CANG. Picked up on long string of geese fairly close in binoculars before quickly switching to scope to look for other species. Immediately picked up on these nearly duck sized geese flying close together within the flock. Small compact geese with dark heads down to beginning of breast. Birds showed brown upper parts with fairly pointed wings. Pale breast and clean rumps stood out well. Immediately went for pictures but due to not taking pics for a while our settings were not right for lighting. Still managed to get some horrendous shots off before the disappeared to the north. Yard bird for JSE and me and after years of checking near 8000 geese migrating over our yard it finally payed off. These southerly winded evenings can show some very obvious migration patterns. #199sp for me in the yard!
