This is a VERY odd call for a CACH. It sounds 7 times with a downward and then sharp upward note; noted at seconds 1, 3, 5, then 12, 21, 24, and 30. I could see the CACH right above me. The bird was near the restrooms at the shelters. There are a lot of human noises, plus other birds on the tape, and an insect-like noise that looks like 5 fishhooks on the sonogram. By the time the humans had quieted down, the chickadee was silent.
