Détails de l'observation
Although I saw and reported a Kurrichane Thrush in the lightly wooded area to the north of the house a couple of weeks ago, I was still surprised to find one right by the river - singing from the depths of a Waterberry tree actually overhanging the river just after sunset. We are about 5km from the miombo woodland which is generally their preferred habitat in the area, although they are known to habituate gardens especially ones with plenty of shrubbery and decent lawns - and we have both (with the lawn being native grass rather than the imported hardy stuff which doesn't need much watering in the dry season but which is not particularly good for the wildlife.)
