Détails de l'observation
This is the first time I have seen Mitred Parakeets in Huntington Beach. They were found in a private condo complex just north of Hamilton on Brookhurst. They were eating the orange berries on what I believe is a Mountain Ash tree. The tree can be seen from the sidewalk outside the complex on Brookhurst. I estimated that there were about 25 in this noisy flock. From what I have been told, they have been in this complex since at least Sunday, February 14. This complex also backs up to the Santa Ana River. I thought there may be other species in the flock, but after examining all of my photos, I only found the one. See photos.
