Détails de l'observation
Continuing first bean goose detected for the state of PA. This goose was first noticed by Rob Fergus early this morning at the Springton Res. Then relocated by Horn and Sabatine later nearby. Moving flock seen in neighboring yards to Springton Lake Middle School fields- fortunately school was not in session...to separate from Taiga: bill shape is “goose- like” or shorter and sloped from forehead versus “swan-like” or longer and wedged like in Taiga. Thick neck with corrugated appearance. Bill pattern favorable for Tundra over Taiga. Noticed it occasionally held its head with bill tipped towards the sky. Super thick rubbery looking legs. The thickness stood out to me. Huge feet as well. In with a flock of a few hundred scattered Canadas and at least one Snow Goose
