Tapping can be heard. ML: Unbroken cut with internal recordist announcement gain change. BNA: The "tapping" referred to above probably represents an unusual variant of the "Cackle" described in the BNA account (primarily 0:33-1:27, but throughout the first part of this recording; see also LNS #2860). The second part has a somewhat different variation of a Cackle (1:32-1:41; see also 105741). The third part has three Limpkin-like "Gheeek!" Calls (1:55, 2:07, 2:08). The fourth and fifth parts have more "typical" Cackles (2:13-2:18, 2:21-2:32), and the sixth part has another atypical Cackle like that in the second part. Also included here is a "tut-tut-tut" call by Ixobrychus exilis (1:265-1:275), a good "growl" by a female Anhinga anhinga (1:40-1:45), and a Cackle by Gallinula chloropus (2:19-2:21). (CAM - 25 February 2005). Other Behaviors: Emit Alarm.
