Horned Grebe calling (while on water) to another, after having resurfaced from foraging. Heard at 2s and 11s
Détails de l'observation
Two seen foraging together near shoreline. Both molting into breeding plumage, one more advanced than the other. Very cool was being able to hear them vocalizing. When resurfacing after foraging, they would call back and forth. I was able to get a recording of one of the individuals calling as it resurfaced, and didn't see the other, which resurfaced at about 15 seconds after audio begins. Watched one grab food (thought it could've been a crayfish) from the other's bill.
