Détails de l'observation
First picked up on call c.07:35, it took a couple of minutes before I got eyes on it - to my sheer disbelief - in the large ploughed field at the north end, being dwarfed by Euro Skylarks and even mipits. Size, bill shape, pale/unstreaked underparts etc all noted. It took a while to sink in but after getting some shots I put the news out. A big heart in mouth moment when it flew high north, to the horizon, before anyone had arrived, but thankfully it returned. By my departure c.13:00 at least 100 people had been and come, most enjoying super views. Second Surrey record and first since 1966. A ridiculous way to hit 150 for my south-west Surrey year list!
