Commentaires
This bird started with low "chucks" and progressed to a louder, higher call. This call continued to become faster and louder. He would do this several times, then stop, and then get on the bottom of the cage out of sight. The bird sat on a tree branch and seemed to be looking for source of playback sound. This was in response to a playback of his own voice. The female did not vocalize as far as I could tell. ML: Chukar (Alectoris chukar) was split from Rock Partridge (A. graeca) after this recording was made; North American birds refer to the former species, and hopefully these captive birds do as well. BNA: I believe this represents primarily, if not exclusively, the "Rally Call" of BNA. Other Behaviors: Advertise.
