Détails de l'observation
This bird has been here for a few months now. It is distinct from the Red-capped Plovers it hangs out with most of the time although in some features similar. The most distinctive feature is the white collar. It is certainly a little bigger than the the RCP and has a strong white forehead and white supercillium. Its legs are light grey in colour noted was it has very black feet and slightly black knees. The bill is also longer than the two species he spends his most time with which are Double-banded Plover and RCP. In looking for the bird, look for the group of small waders and it is likely to be in there as on the 3 days we watched it it was always in this group. Photos to follow we took a lot. It is certainly changing colour from my first experience of it a few months back
