Behavior and other notes: The resident male Wood Thrush singing near the nest. The quiet, odd calls appear to be from the female that was sitting on the nest which was situated between me and the singing male. She leaves the nest at 4:20 giving one of these quiet calls. This is most likely the same individual as in ML239979961. Recording Time: 0710 (UTC -4). Temperature 20C. Habitat: mixed deciduous woods. Distance to sound source: 9.5 meters to singing male, 4 meters to the female on the nest. Specific location: Wood Song, Berkeley Co., WV. Latitude 39.575464, Longitude -78.056623. Elevation 156 meters. ID’d by sight and sound; ID confidence 100%. Equipment notes: Recorder HPF on at 80Hz, -12dB/octave.
