Compared to BASA much larger and buffier. I often describe BASA as buffy but really they are better described as sandy.

FOY. Proving to be an annual migrant for still requires lots of effort to find one. First time spotting one at the airport, though it’s a rather expected location in other NWT communities. Noticed in flock of AMGP with a few BASA. Much larger and buffier than the Baird’s, with yellow legs and white underwings. Multiple times it was observed to give its wing display—impulsively as there was no other BBSA in sight to seek attention from. BBSA here seem to be extremely transitory, as this bird, as others have in years before him, gained altitude and left the location while I watched. Gave flight calls, a rough ‘jeerrp’. Record photos taken.
