Because the Ross's is the closest bird, it would appear bigger than the farther birds. Still, it is much smaller than the Snow Geese.

Small white goose in flock of 80 larger Snow Geese. In all photos, notice smaller wingspan, slighter body. Notice in the most enlarged profile photo how the goose appears decidedly smaller and stubbier (tail, wings, body, neck, head) than two closest Snow Geese that are actually behind it. This perspective would tend to give the illusion it was actually comparatively larger than in reality. That said the diminutive Ross' Goose is conspicuous, even in a flyover flock.
