Détails de l'observation
heard and recorded song from across the creek. It is a close match to the Abbot's Babbler call recorded by Frank Lambert at Sipilok in March of 2019 and hosted on Xeno-canto. None of the other Abbot's Babbler calls on xeno-canto sound like that one and no others are from Borneo. There is also some similarity to Black-capped Babbler as heard in west Sabah. The east Sabah Black-capped Babbler has a two-part song, not three, though that species is much more common. In Feb 2021 got this note from ebird James Eaton, an expert on asian birds, author of Birds of the Indonesian Archipelago, and founder of Birdtour Asia, has flagged your recording and said this... "White-chested Babbler. Short, sweet and notes too thin. Abbott's is a powerful whistled song." so changed sp.
