NOTES: (Breeding Status: territorial paired; Behavioral Context: anxiety; General Climate: dry; Cover Density: medium) [I suppose these are variations on the "Chick-a-dee" Call of BNA, but with most examples representing only a single note-type (with A, B, and C notes all represented alone). A roughly equal number of calls have B-notes alone and B-notes combined with C-notes, but I believe the three notes at 0:28 (with zero point at beginning of recording) are the only examples of A-notes. I further suspect the calls at 0:15-0:16, 0:18-0:19, 0:24, 0:28, and 0:31-0:34 are homologous to the soft, lisping "sip" notes described in BNA account for Baeolophus inornatus/ridgwayi but not mentioned in account for this species. Quality changed from 2-3 to 2-1 - CAM - 1 April 2005]. Habitat: Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest, Stream, Riparian, Canyon.
