Commentaires

This, against the noise of the colony, is the call an adult male guillemot made to its chick encouraging it to jump to the.....sea below. At 45 secs comes the reaction from the adult to the chick actually jumping.The chicks jump from the colony ledges when about one third the size of the adults. To avoid preditors (gulls, skuas etc) it starts in the halflight of dusk. Elevation: 14 m. Date added to IBC: June 22, 2016.
