A male Grey-and-buff woodpecker pecking on a horizontal branch, likely looking for grubs. Notice the legs/talons gripping.....tightly on the branch, providing the pivot points for the vigorous drumming actions. The average counts for each drumming session 3 to 5. Elevation: 195 m. Date added to IBC: June 23, 2016.
