Commentaires

Greater Blue-eared Starling feeding on ants, Mphongolo Loop. This Greater Blue-eared Starling was one of several species of birds feeding on swarming ants on the ground below. There was intense competition for the large ants amongst the birds there – these included Arrow-marked Babblers, Violet-backed Starlings and Southern Yellow-billed Hornbills. This bird was chased away by a Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: July 1, 2017.
