An Australian Raven eating bread scavenged from a puddle. The Australian Raven (Corvus coronoides) is the most common corvid the south-western Australia, and is also widely distributed throughout south-eastern Australia. It is distinguished from other Australian crows by its prominent throat hackles. It is found in woodland and semi-arid shrublands, but has also adapted to life in urban areas where it is an opportunistic scavenger. This Raven was at Ellendale Pool on the Greenough River, south-east of Geraldton, scavenging bread scraps in the picnic area. Elevation: 145 m. Date added to IBC: August 25, 2018.
