One individual was heard *singing* (not calling), and since we don't hear the song too often on the wintering grounds or in migration (especially fall migration), we were at first stumped. I recorded the song (see below: ML20178551); when eventually the bird started calling and we finally did see it, it became clear that it was indeed a Yellow-bellied. Recorded the regular call note also (ML20178561). We did hear the "turree" call also a few times today (which is less unusual in Central America).
