Détails de l'observation
Note: This bird has been identified as an American Black Duck x American Wigeon hybrid. This bird was mixed with mallards, mute swans, Canada geese and a few black ducks in a small pool of open water where the current from a culvert has melted the ice. It moved from the waypoint I uploaded to open water approximately 200 yards to south. The mallard like speculum was visible in photos of it flying away. The feet seemed chunkier than widgeon feet and were an off yellow color. I saw and heard it vocalize once and it was a mallard like quack instead of the whistling I have heard from widgeons in the past.
