Détails de l'observation
What I wrote on Instagram: "While winding our way through the jungle towards the clay lick, we heard a few macaws. Sensing a good photo opportunity, we quietly worked our way towards the blind. There were two Red-and-green Macaws (Ara chloropterus) present, but they were somewhat obscured by leaves. ⠀ ⠀ Expecting that this was our best photo opportunity, we laid down on the benches and pointed our lenses through the very small openings in the blind. I was laying horizontally with my head dangling off the bench - it was very uncomfortable! We got decent photos, good ones to hold onto for memories and to share with friends and family. ⠀ ⠀ But a short time later, another macaw flew in, followed by another. And these birds were in the trees, out in the open, and much closer to us. To make things even better, the sun started to break through the clouds...and another small group of macaws flew in. ⠀
