Détails de l'observation
1st NJ State Record found by Scott Angus on 1/4. Differentiated from Eastern Phoebe by peaked head; sooty black head, breast, and upper back; lower back, wings, and tail brownish slate; white undertail coverts and belly; white on belly formed inverted V as it extended up into lower breast. Called frequently as it fed along the southern edge of the pond. Visible almost the entire time though sometimes it went farther away from the parking lot. Very active and difficult to photograph with all of the vegetation. Phonescoped and audio.
