Morning of the Bishop Christmas Bird Count. Adult male (per Jon Dunn after looking at photos) Peregrine Falcon sitting on top of the 100+ foot radio tower in South downtown Bishop. I drove to this location specifically to see this bird which was reported here the previous day. There have been at least two peregrines in Bishop this week. One at Pleasant Valley reservoir, another in the Dixon Lane, Meadow Creek area, and this bird downtown. Later in the afternoon Eric Smith reported seeing a pair of Peregrine Falcons flying over the Methodist Church in downtown Bishop. Since one was considerably smaller than the other, he thought it was a male and a female.
