Détails de l'observation
My personal latest ever. Oddly, this individual was at the EXACT location of one of the singing males picked up by summer survey work in summer 2008. This bird came in to BCCH alarm calls and EASO playback but never came lower than the canopy, and never sang. I would never have detected it without the lure and a bunch of luck to see it through the trees. I strongly suspect this bird bred at this location, and was finishing its flight feather molt prior to leaving. Do adult CERWs do this all of the time, and we just don't know it yet b/c they're near impossible to detect?
