Détails de l'observation
Four Rose-throated Becard spotted in the canopy above the old and new nests. Adult male and female seen with two recently fledged juveniles. The juveniles were following the adults through the canopy pestering the adults for food. The nest site is much further from the trailhead than some reports would lead you to believe, allow at least 3 hours for the round trip unless you are guided, or have very precise instructions. There is no trail. Reports that refer to a trail are actually talking about a dry stream bed. Recent rains have made it very muddy and very slick to travel. Also, the rains have blocked the stream bed with debris in multiple locations, so you will have to bushwhack around those in waist deep weeds.
