Détails de l'observation
Contacted by Pearl McCarthy letting me know there was a Sandhill Crane in her yard. When I arrived, the Sandhill Crane was still present on the side yard. Was preening itself when I arrived then began to forage for food in nearby tall grass and weeds. I noticed in photos it was missing tops of two toes on left foot. I Watched for about 20 minutes and then it got spooked by something in the nearby bushes. Made some purring calls and flew towards Center St. This crane has been seen many times by Pearl and other residents all over Donkin in yards for several weeks. It also appears to be very approachable and use to people.
